The undefeated IBF 140 pound Intercontinental champion Pier-Olivier Cote was given direct orders from his doctor that he must immediately cease from training for his February 3 match up against IBF World #6 rated 140 lbs boxer Mauricio Herrera in order to receive a battery of tests to determine his illness.

On February 24th Thompson Boxing Promotions returns to the Doubletree Ontario with the 2012 opener "New Blood" series. The "New Blood" fight card will feature some of boxing's brightest rising

stars as well as showcase some new additions.

Coming off the biggest win of his career to date, Artemio "King" Reyes (14-1, 11 KOs) will face off against Victor Hugo Correa (12-4, 8 KOs) as the main event in a 10-round welterweight battle for the WBC Latino title.

The co-main event match up will feature East L.A.'s Aron "Asesino" Martinez (15-1-1, 3 KOs) pitted against Escondido's Dashon "Fly Boy" Johnson (13-4-3, 4 KOs) in an eight-round welterweight bout.
